Masayoshi Matsumoto can create a real piece of art with a ballon. The artist gives life to balloons that joined together, they are like an explosion of colours and harmony. Actually is fundamental to balance the strength used to bend balloons. Artist's favourite subjects are animals.

HOW WAS YOUR PASSION FOR BALLOONS BORN? AND HOW DID YOU TRANSFORM IT INTO YOUR JOB?

The beginning of balloon art was participation in the juggling circle 10 years ago.

While I was doing that, I've been inclined to make lifelike balloon animals & insects.

As I uploaded photos of my work on social networking sites, I began to receive job offers.

HOW DID YOU LEARN TO HANDLE THE BALLOONS? I MEAN HAVE YOU HAD SOME MENTOR?

When I was in college, I was taught balloon art by an older student.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED TO CREATE AN ARTWORK? DO YOU USE SOME PARTICULAR TECHNIQUE TO PUT ALL THE BALLOONS TOGETHER?

It takes 3-4 hours to make a piece. In most cases I use a combination of traditional methods.

I use the techniques of blowing and twisting called "pinch twist","loop twist","lock twist" and so on.

I also utilize frictional force at the interference part of facing balloons with each other.

I SAW THAT YOU MOSTLY REPRESENT ANIMALS, IS THERE A PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU PREFER NATURE OR ANIMALS?

I've liked creatures since I was small.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT BALLOONS? I MEAN THE HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS THAT ALLOW YOU TO CREATE YOUR ARTWORKS

I purchase balloons from a retailer that is specialised in balloons.

I THINK THAT IN YOUR ART YOU HAVE ALSO TO BE CAREFUL BALANCING THE STRENGTH IN ORDER TO AVOID BALLOONS BURST, RIGHT?

You are right. I am careful not to burst the balloons.

FOR YOU WHAT KIND OF MEANING ASSUME THE TERM DARE IN ART?

I believe that the "DARE" in art is to communicate one's passion and emotions through one's work.
