D.A.R.E.CLAN's upcoming global open call invites artists from all disciplines to explore and redefine the interaction between art, nature, sound and urban space.
The campaign highlights the power of creativity to provoke dialogue and reflection while re imagining the ways in which public art interacts with the world.
There is no limit to the forms and materials that can be used, and ultimately, 6-8 outstanding works will be selected for a public exhibition in an urban green space in the Via Malaga District (M.A.D.), Milan, Italy, with additional exposure and resources given to the creators.
This open call provides a platform for artists to share their vision of transforming public spaces into meaningful, thought-provoking environments. Selected works will showcase the ability of art to mediate between the physical and conceptual, inspiring new ways to connect with our surroundings.
Concept 1: Concrete in the Nature
Keywords: Balance, Permanent, Relationship
Brief:
Concrete, a man-made composite material, is the backbone of urban industrial development.
We hope that the artworks will stimulate people to think about the balance between man-made buildings and ecosystems, and encourage a dialog between architecture and growth.
We welcome works that reflect this relationship through contrast, fusion, or symbiosis, and reacquaint the public with the harmonious relationship between the artificial and the organic.

Concept 2: Time is Art
Keywords: Growth, Transforms, Eternal
Brief:
This theme emphasizes the dynamic nature of art as it grows, transforms or interacts with time. We seek to explore the delicate balance between the beauty of the fleeting and the timeless quality of the eternal.
We encourage artists to create works that change over time, either physically or conceptually, inviting viewers to reflect on the fleeting yet profound moments of the creative process. Whether through natural decay, environmental influences, or interactive elements, submissions should capture the ongoing dialog between the temporary and the eternal.

Concept 3: Echoes in Motion
Keywords: Sounds, Movement, Music
Brief:
The work will be exhibited at M.A.D. The bridge cavern has an arched character that gives sound a special memory in this area.
We hope to explore the relationship between movement and sound, encouraging artists to take advantage of the characteristics of the site and submit works that relate to the auditory experience, capturing or reflecting the unique acoustic characteristics of the area.
Submissions should explore the ways in which sound interacts with space and movement, inviting the public to engage with or experience this soundscape in new and immersive ways.
