ARCLOTH: FASHION AS A FORM OF ART

Arcloth is a brand that was born from the amalgamation of art and ready to wear and has achieved its peak through its unique pieces of clothing. The amazing outerwear creates a total look and a personality definition for a person in an artistic way in this contemporary fashion world.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE FASHION AND YOUR BRAND?

For me fashion is a form of art, passion and work. I was born as a painter, but I have always been passionate about the world of fashion, which is why I decided to specialize in fashion design. My brand is called Arcloth, in which I create tailored collections and costume vintage garments, always painting myself on, they are all unique models, my aim is to create works of art to wear.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO CREATE YOUR CLOTHING?

When I create my clothes I first do a search for trends, I try to understand what works on the market, but above all I am inspired by my art. I mostly make outerwear, but I have everything I need to create a total look.I like to find and invent phrases that represent my mood at the very moment I start the creation of a garment and bring them back to them. Look for accessories of any kind, such as a chain of puppets in tow, ribbons, buttons, belts, etc ... to be sewn onto a garment to make it as unique, iconic and whimsical as possible.

DO TIE N DYE WORKS AS AN ARTISTIC FLOW TO YOUR COLLECTION?

Yes, the tie n dye technique works very well in my collections. I have been using it for about a couple of years and today it is very strong on the market and trendy. I love to create garments by mixing tie n dye with my paintings, I like the contrast that is created on the fabric and the final result always becomes curious and unique.

COULD YOU TELL THE THOUGHT OF THE GRAPHICAL CONTENT AND THE COSMIC PRINTS IN YOUR CLOTHING?

In my collections there are many cosmic inspirations, I like to reproduce with painting and tie n dye the abstract colors with which I see the world and the universe. There are never prints, but always drawings, illustrations and above all hand-made graffiti by me. A few times I first design what I would like to paint on a garment, first I create or dress it up, if it is a vintage and then I follow my inspiration of the moment, always remaining consistent with the theme of the collection. In many outerwear there are references to two cities that I love, that I know well and that constantly inspire me: Paris and Berlin.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA ABOUT URBAN AND CONTEMPORARY STREET WEAR ?

I love this new idea of urban and contemporary street-wear, because it is very close to my style, which is increasingly popular and trendy. When I started, I was one of the few designers who dared to paint on garments, now this technique is very widespread. I love the fact that art is seen in different ways and also made known through fashion. I appreciate the fact that like me, other designers use vintage and eco-sustainable garments, our planet is always important and the re-use of costumed clothes creates a mix of old and contemporary style that is absolutely cool. I like to make unisex garments, often oversized jackets to combine with something more sexy, the contrast in wearing an oversized garment and sometimes a masculine fit, combined with another very feminine one.

IS THERE ANY FUTURE COLLECTIONS AND DESIGNS YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT?

I am creating the new collection where I will focus more on the customization of vintage garments, where I do a lot of research, especially in Paris and Berlin, and concentrate less on the creation of tailored garments, but in any case there will be a small sartorial capsule. It will always be unique models hand-painted by me and, in addition to painting and graffiti, I will also add accessories that will make the garment even more unique and whimsical. I love when people recognize my clothes, and it happens that customers who wear my brand are stopped on the street by friends who know my style and send me photos with them... so fun!
