Hi Simone, how are you?

I’m fine, thank you. And you?

I’m fine, thank you. Thank you for being in here and for your participation. Now we’re going to talk about you. So, let’s talk about yourself: where do you come from, how old are you, what are your passions etc.

First of all, thank you so much for inviting me and for this good opportunity. So, I am Simone Mancini, I am 28 years-old and I come from Monza, where I still live. I have a lot of passion, but for sure travelling is the main one at the moment.

Your IG name is not your real name, it is a stage one and I find it really peculiar. Is there a particular reason? If yes, tell me about it, please.

Actually, I like the meaning, because “Perturbazione” means also storm and if you see also what there is behind of this concept, there is not just rain, wind and thunder, but also cold air and all that surrounds this kind of atmosphere. I think it represents me somehow, because I have a lot of ideas in my mind and sometimes it’s a kind of storm. Then the number is “247” because it means 24 hours and 7 days to 7, so it refers to a constant state of mind.

Do you use other social media except Instagram?

Actually no, I have Facebook, but it’s not a professional page. I’m thinking to create a Portfolio.

Is photography just a hobby/passion or is it your job?

At the moment it is just an hobby, because I started just 2 years ago taking pictures and then I linked photography with travel. I hope one day it could be my job, but currently is just a passion.

Do you have a favorite photographer? If yes, who?

Yes, I have many photographers that I really like, but not only photographers, also video maker like Nathan Mcbride, he’s not very popular, but I really like his style. However, every photographer has his own style, so they can help me, they can be a sort of inspiration for me, but they are all different.

What inspires you? What brings you to take a picture of a particular thing?

The place is very important, also the right moment. It also depends on the weather, for me. I really like when it is cloudy and foggy, because I like to keep the sky on a very low light. I prefer when it is cloudy than when it is sunny. I don’t know if it is strange, but I think it is also part of my style. Though, the maximum inspiration is from nature.

I saw that in your IG profile there are quite a lot of featured stories, one for each country that you have visited, right? What is your favorite country?

This is a good question! It’s not easy to answer, because I don’t have actually one favorite country. But I can tell you, that my favorite trip has been the one to the countries of Caucasus. I was a bit disappointed about South-East Asia, because during the last 4 years, when I start travelling a lot, my mind has changed, my way to travel too, because now I’m looking for something that lets me get out from my comfort zone, so that’s why in Azerbaijan and Armenia it is easy to travel, but not like Vietnam or Thailand, where you look like a tourist and they treat you like a tourist.

I don’t really enjoy that, also the mentality of people you’re going to meet. So, I think Caucasus countries are my favorite ones at the moment.

I’ve noticed, that you have a specific way of communication in your profile: if I am right, you post 3 pics of the same place consequently. Is it just an illusion or do you want to proceed with a specific order?

Actually, I look how the profile looks like. It is just a prospective: I post 3 pics of the same place representing 3 different moments, in order to have a more complete view.

Have you ever participated in competitions?

Not at the moment, but I would like.

Do you have plans for the future?

I have some projects on my mind, it’s more about videomaking than photo. It would be with a friend of mine, we are on it, but it is just the beginning. I don’t want to say anything more, but it is connected with photo, video and travelling for sure.

Okay Simone, that’s it! Thank you for your time and have a nice day!

Thank you for inviting me! You too, bye!
